Ariana Tipper was recently named the new broker for Green Coast Realty. Tipper has lived in New Orleans for many years and possesses an insider’s knowledge on not only the local real estate market, but also is experienced in renovating historic homes. We sat down to talk to her about her new position.

What is your role as Green Coast Realty’s broker?

I oversee the day-to-day operations of the brokerage and I provide support for our team of real estate agents. And, of course, I’m also an agent.

What are your goals as the broker?

I am focused on increasing the company’s bandwidth, so I am actively trying to build a sizeable team of sharp, driven agents. I want people that will appreciate working in an intimate real estate environment and can embrace Green Coast’s overall company philosophy of People, Planet and Profit. Green Coast Realty provides the smartest and most comprehensive real estate service in town and we want to make sure every buyer and seller in New Orleans knows that.

What kind of agents are you looking for?

Simply put, my door is open for experienced residential and commercial realtors. On the company side, we will invest in our team through continuing education and professional development. I want to create a team of top notch agents where the members feel like they have a say in our company’s direction, move a lot of listings and make our clients happy.

You bring a wide variety of experiences to your new role. Tell us about that.

I hold a master’s degree in urban and regional planning, and I was lucky enough to work in community development in the Broadmoor neighborhood. That gave me a up-close understanding of the character and uniqueness of all New Orleans neighborhoods. That was further solidified when I worked for the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority after Hurricane Katrina and the levee failures. It was a rewarding experience because I was able to partner with individuals and neighborhoods on strategies for rebuilding and renewal, and it’s continued as I renovate homes in my Central City community.
