Expansion goes hand in hand with planning. With Green Coast doubling in size in the past year, the company strategized what would be the best approach for building and adhering to the triple bottom line: People, Planet and Profit.

It made sense to bring on a COO that could take on the job of overseeing the company’s daily operations, but it also would require someone intimately familiar with Green Coast. The obvious choice was Jackie Dadakis.

“I’ve known Jackie for many years and her organizational, people, and management skills are superlative,” says Green Coast Co-Founder and President Will Bradshaw. “With her at the COO helm, we’re not only in great hands, but it also frees me to find our next big project. “

Dadakis will assume a number of new duties, including staff management and developing policies and procedures. In terms of personnel, she will work with Green Coast employees, identifying strengths and weaknesses, so, as she describes them, “our phenomenal staff” can continue to flourish.

Retaining management of GCE Services, Dadakis has delegated some of those responsibilities: naming Stephanie Mezynski, Director of Construction Management, and Joe Ryan, Director of Energy Services.

Getting the Pythian Building online has been the firm’s greatest challenge this year, and with the project set to hold its May grand opening, Dadakis feels Green Coast is on a course for continued growth and success.

“We work really hard at Green Coast to hold ourselves accountable to the triple bottom line, bringing value to our community,” Dadakis says. “Growing and expanding is part of that mission, and I’m proud to be part of such a remarkable team.”
