It is actively managed day to day by Jackie Dadakis with a team of green building professionals. Our Mission is to bring focus to one of Green Coast’s core competencies: constructing and operating buildings efficiently in a hot and humid climate.


Commercial Building Energy Efficiency Manager

Green Coast Enterprises seeks exceptional staff members to support the implementation of projects that meet the company’s triple bottom line standards. The Commercial Building Energy Efficiency Manager is responsible for maintaining client relationships, delivering projects on time and budget, and managing the coworkers on a variety of projects as part of the GCE Services team.

The Commercial Building Energy Efficiency Manager will support our commercial and public buildings clients leading projects through retro-commissioning, managing building automation systems, and advising clients on energy efficient capital upgrades. The position reports to Joe Ryan, Director of Energy Services. We are looking to bring someone on to help us grow and expand this business outside the New Orleans Metro area.


The Commercial Building Energy Efficiency Manager will be responsible for the following primary activities:

 ߽ Managing delivery of projects through all phases to completion.
 ߽ Overseeing retro-commissioning of public, commercial and institutional buildings.
 ߽ Reviewing Building Automation Systems and creating regular client reports.
 ߽ Completing ASHRAE I and II Energy Audits.
 ߽ Supporting the business development of the Energy Services department.
 ߽ Engaging with clients and maintaining long term relationships.
 ߽ Managing budgets and timelines.
 ߽ Conducting site visits on client sites.
 ߽ Managing contractors and identifying problems on projects.
 ߽ Reporting to management on status of projects.
 ߽ Engaging other staff on projects where appropriate and managing their work.
 ߽ Other duties as assigned.


 ߽ five years experience in construction management, architecture, green building or related field.
 ߽ Professional Engineer or ASHRAE Certified Energy Manager or Master Degree in a field of Engineering.
 ߽ Experience developing ASHRAE II energy models for commercial buildings.
 ߽ Experience retro-commissioning commercial buildings.
 ߽ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work successfully with limited direct supervision.
 ߽ An orientation towards meeting goals and deadlines.
 ߽ Demonstrated interpersonal, problem-solving and teamwork skills, and the ability to collaborate with different levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
 ߽ Strong computer skills, including: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, internet research, and Adobe Suite.
 ߽ Preference given to candidates with a Master Degree
