GCE Services, a division of Green Coast Enterprises, spun out into a stand-alone consulting business in 2015. It is actively managed day to day by Jackie Dadakis with a team of green building professionals. Our Mission is to bring focus to one of Green Coast’s core competencies •€” constructing and operating buildings efficiently in a hot and humid climate.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Engineering Support
Green Coast Enterprises seeks exceptional staff members to support the implementation of projects that meet the company’s triple bottom line standards. The Engineering Support is responsible for maintaining client relationships, delivering projects on time and budget, and managing the coworkers on a variety of projects as part of the GCE Services team.

The Engineering Support will support our commercial and public buildings clients leading projects through retro-commissioning, managing building automation systems, and advising clients on energy efficient capital upgrades. The position reports to Joe Ryan, Director of Energy Services. We are looking to bring someone on to help us grow and expand this business outside the New Orleans Metro area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Engineering support will be responsible for the following primary activities:
• Managing delivery of projects through all phases to completion.
• Overseeing retro-commissioning of public, commercial and institutional buildings.
• Reviewing Building Automation Systems and creating regular client reports.
• Completing ASHRAE I and II Energy Audits.
• Supporting the business development of the Energy Services department.
• Engaging with clients and maintaining long term relationships.
• Managing budgets and timelines.
• Conducting site visits on client sites.
• Managing contractors and identifying problems on projects.
• Reporting to management on status of projects.
• Engaging other staff on projects where appropriate and managing their work.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Ability to maintain a mature, problem-solving attitude while managing interpersonal conflicts, customer rejection, maybe some customer hostility or time demands.

• Extremely high level interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to clearly demonstrate professional attitude and mannerism through oral presentations in positive or negative circumstances. Must be a good listener.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, positive follow through approach for customer projects, read and interpret customer written or verbal information and document activities.
• Interpret verbal and non-verbal behavior to develop accurate perception and understanding of customer need, values and opinions. Be sensitive and aware of customer differences and conflicts.
• Must be customer-led in all market segments and work.
• Pleasant and cooperative attitude with co-workers. Must work within a team environment designed to support internal and external customer needs and expectations.

REQUIREMENTS
• 5 years’ experience in construction management, commercial HVAC controls, green building or related field.
• Strong HVAC knowledge
• Experience retro-commissioning commercial buildings work successfully with limited direct supervision.
• An orientation towards meeting goals and deadlines.
• Strong computer skills, including: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
