We have been working as a Technical Advisor to the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority on the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP2), a $29.7 million initiative to address blight, foreclosure, and vacancy in some of New Orleans’ most challenged areas. The NSP2 consortium members will be constructing hundreds of units of high performance housing, both single and multi-family, new and rehab, over a three-year period.
GCE is working with NORA and the NSP2 Consortium Members to help them meet their extremely ambitious goals for this housing. All homes will be built to meet both the Department of Energy’s Builders Challenge standard as well as the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria. As an Enterprise Green Communities TA provider and a a DOE Build America Partner, GCE is ideally suited to help these non-profit developers achieve the standards of the program. We are proud to work alongside so many excellent providers of affordable housing.
