Project Home Again

New Orleans

Project Overview

Green Coast Enterprises is the owner’s representative and construction manager on Project Home Again (PHA). PHA began as a $20 million philanthropic endeavor to build 100 new homes for displaced New Orleanians. The first phase of PHA constructed 20 Builder’s Challenge certified homes on St. Bernard Avenue in the Fillmore section of New Orleans. Green Coast has completed 171 houses for PHA, and are about to begin Phase IX of another 45 homes.

PHA homes are 40% more energy-efficient than required by current building codes, saving their occupants an average of $750-$1,000 per year in energy costs. PHA is the largest ever Building America project in southeast Louisiana and Green Coast is the largest developer of Builder’s Challenge certified homes in Louisiana.
