Gina La Macchia

Development Manager

Gina is a Development Manager at Green Coast Enterprises. She is a LEED AP with expertise in Building Design and Construction.

Gina represented Project Home Again as an owner’s representative during phase 8 and 9 of energy efficient new construction home builds in Gentilly. In this role, Gina monitored the construction, verifying the construction was high quality and performed to the specifications. For the last two years, Gina has managed the historic tax credit process at Green Coast Enterprises, which is valued at $20M in Qualified Rehabilitation Expenditures (QRE). These thirteen projects range from the New Orleans vernacular double shotguns to commercial buildings. Two large scale commercial buildings are in the pipeline, including 234 Loyola Avenue. Gina successfully expanded the Lower Central Business District to include 234 Loyola and the additional boundary into the district. Currently she is working on a district expansion near the Community Greens project at Washington and Broad.

While completing her Masters, Gina interned at the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority in the Alternative Land Use department, assisting with the development of a water management strategy using vacant land. For her directed research project, she partnered with the Louisiana Land Trust to evaluate the reintroduction of vacant properties into commerce in Orleans Parish, winning the distinguished thesis award. She is also an active member of several New Orleans real estate and preservation chapters. She is also an apprentice to a local architectural photographer and author.

Gina holds a Masters in Sustainable Real Estate Development from Tulane University and a B.A. in Historic Preservation and Community Development from the College of Charleston.
